I LOVE MUSIC...
This is a documentary I made about the musician Lack of Afro.
Follow producer and multi-instrumentalist Adam Gibbons (aka Lack of Afro) in the studio during the recording of his sixth album 'Jack of All Trades'. Filmed and edited by James Roadley-Battin of Love of Art Media, the film explores Adam's recording process (including the instruments and equipment he uses), influences, collaborations and his thoughts on making music for a living.
In February 2019, Adam Gibbons (aka Lack of Afro) travelled to Middle Farm Studios in South Devon to record the album that would go onto become 'I'm Here Now'.
Here’s some of my editing and story telling. The Damn Straights is a collaborative project between Lack of Afro and Herbal T.
I had a wonderful opportunity to put together this surreal visual for this beautiful piece of music by Lustre. I let go of some control with this one and allowed the synchronisation to naturally occur. The mirroring creates a surreal and surprising effect, almost hypnotizing the listener/viewer into calmness.

I’ve always loved skateboarding culture. The spaces and the people are always so creative to be around. There’s always a story to capture.

What started out as playing Lego with my two daughters ended in a lesson in stop motion! Kids move aside dads playing now.
A Lego Matrix style bullet time scene I made with the kids. Justin North was kind enough to add sound over the top to complete it and emphasise that cheeky wink... thank you. Made with a Sony RX100 IV.
A small stop motion video made with the kids over the christmas break (of course I was the biggest kid). Evie was building her Ninjago Lego car and I insisted making it into an Lego assembling stop motion video. Win, Win.
